5th Annual Shenandoah Day

On any given Saturday, Shenandoah Park is teaming with families, recreation and sports enthusiasts. However, on the last Saturday in January, something special happens. Thanks to our partnerships with the City of Miami, Miami-Dade County and some key local merchants, we are able to host a marquee festival as a token of appreciation for our neighbors.

Shenandoah Day is Miami-Shenandoah Neighborhood Association's marquee event where we bring the City, County, local businesses and residents together for a family-friendly fun-day in the our beloved park.

This year is our 5th annual event and it promises to be larger than the previous four. The entrance is free for event registrants and thanks to our pizza sponsor, Papa John's Coral Way, the event will be doubling the free meals from 1,000 to the first 2,000 attendees. (Make sure to grab your meal ticket at the entrance!)

Beyond that, the soccer field becomes a gauntlet of bounce houses; the park entrance becomes a promenade of curiosities; the wooded area becomes peppered with carnival games like 'ring toss'; arts-and-crafts stations are installed in the picnic table paddock; and community partners help engage attendees, old and young, ensuring that there truly is something for everyone! ALL FOR FREE! It's a lot of fun and a great time to come out and just enjoy a family-friendly day in the park. Walk or bike over and enjoy your neighborhood with family, friends, and neighbors.
